Angler

Haruto Ichiwara
Kagawa, Japan / Age 8

The other day, I went fishing for the first time. It was challenging, but the fish I caught myself was delicious.
If I continue fishing like this, I wonder if I'll become a pro by 2030.

Judge's Comment

In this work, the body is drawn stretched across the entire image.
The point is that it is without hesitation and unbalanced. The accidental thin blotting of watercolor colors creates facial expressions and body movements, which is very poetic. The fact that the background is not painted over but rather a sequence of colors is also very clever.

destruction

Mohamad Mahan Mollazadeh

Hello
I had two works to submit for this contest, but I preferred this one, which is about the destruction of the earth, which I have shown satirically in it, the destruction of culture and civilization by the escape of Mona Lisa and the destruction of humanity by the escape of man into the air and into the soil.

The landing of Noah's ark, the destruction of water, and many other things that I hope will remain only a painting.
I hope for the environment in the future

Judge's Comment

This is a highly sophisticated work that uses a metaphor to express what it wants to say in a humorous way.
The expression of the encroaching monster is also unique. Mona Lisa's line, "Da Vinci, why did you paint me?" was the spice of this painting.
